Fun DIY Motivational Art Deco PROJECT!!!!

Hello Everyone!
It would seem that summer is in full swing, with about a month left until I start college, I've been looking for new ways to decorate my room and make it feel a bit more "lived in." One of my favorite ways to do that is by finding wall art, and I think personalized projects are a great way to add personality to a room. Now, I have this, like, obsession with quotes. I don't know what it is, but I could literally spend hours looking up quotes and poems and song lyrics. I decided to put my need for wall decorations with my love of quotes and make a board full of them!
I've had a blank cork-board sitting in the corner of my room forever and decided to use that as the "frame" for my project. I went by Lowe's and grabbed some fun colored paint samples to write the quotes on. I've seen a couple people use the samples as backgrounds and liked the idea much more than just blank card-stock. Then I added my favorite quotes as well as some motivational saying, and doodles to the cards and taped them to the board. I also taped some fortunes on the side of the board because I always loose mine. In all the project was inexpensive, and well it was basically free. It didn't take too long which I liked and it adds a nice colorful reel to my room!

"essence of | BEAUTY" Brushes! 4/11/13

Travel Brush Pack : Essence Of Beauty

Happy Thursday everyone! That means Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, and one day closer to the weekend!!!

I picked up this travel brush kit because I don't own that many brushes as of yet, and this was cheaper than buying 8 regular sized brushes. It comes with a Smudge brush, Touch-Up Foundation brush, Concealer brush, Fine and Precision liner brushes, a Brow brush, an Angled shadow brush, and a smoky eye brush!

These brushes are really nice, I haven't noticed any shedding and the bristles are soft, but structured. My favorites are the liner brushes because with the shorter handle they are still really easy to control and move. The brow brush is amazing, and the shadow brushes are quite nice as well. The pack the zip into is quit compact and will fit in most any bag or purse, which is great for travel!

What are your favorite brushes?

Beauty Review!!! 4/10/13

Beauty Reaview ||| Kate Moss for Rimmel London Lipstick

Hey guys! It's Wednesday, that much closer to the weekend! A couple weeks I picked up two lipsticks from the Kate Moss collection, and I must say I'm in love! I've never really been a lip-stick gal, but lately I've found my self falling more and more in love with the product. If I'm honest, I only own a couple of lipsticks, but I'm planning on getting more from these collections!

I bought one from each collection, the Lasting Finish, and the Lasting Finish Matte collections! I purchased #12 (from Lasting Finish in the black tube) and #103 (from LFMatte in the red tube). I love these colors! The pigmentation is amazing! The lipstick doesn't dry out my lips either. When my lips seemed like they might be getting dry, I just applied a layer of lip-balm on before I put on the lip-stick and it was fine! Another thing I love about these lip-sticks is that they don't really get "streaky" when they start to wear off, I haven't noticed them drying out quicker in some places on my lips than others.

They also look great when applied with gloss over it! For the pink matte  one, I apply a lipgloss on top, and did the same with a gloss on top! This is really great for the matte color if you don't like the matte look that much, or you could add clear gloss for shine! Over-all these products are amazing and among my most favorite lipsticks I've added to my 'collection'!

I love the bright shade of this color, I was nervous to try it at first but now, I'm obsessed!

I love this shade it looks similar to my natural shade except more dramatic!

What do you think of these colors?
Have you tried anything from this line?

Beauty Review : Milani Brow Fix Kit

Hello everyone, how are you all on this beautiful Tuesday morning? The weather is finally brightening back up out here, the wind has died down, and the birds are chirping. I've been really excited about this product and wanted to share it 'in-depth' with you all.

I picked this little kit up a couple of weeks ago at CVS. I'd been in need of a brow it because I'd been using a small eye-shadow palette that had begun panning and crumbling. Since buying the Milani palette, I've been obsessed! The highlight isn't my favorite color to use for my brows, it's extremely shimmery, but I've found that if I blend it out with my finger it looks quite nice. The brow colors however, are some of the best I've found yet! I love, love, LOVE these colors and have found that blending them together gives nice brow definition and still looks natural, one of the many reasons I prefer using a powder. One of the other great things about the kit is that it also has a sponge-applicator, a brow brush, and tweezers. Literally everything you need to maintain your brows! I think these brushes are really nice quality considering I picked up the kit at a drugstore for less than $10. They may not be the be all, end all of brushes but they work well for a starter kit, or something to throw in a purse or travel bag without bringing tons of brushes and make-up for your brows. It's really simple, easy to use, and ready to use! Overall, this product is one of the best I've seen, considering! :)
Hi-Lite, and two Brow shades... Great colors, nice pigmentation!

Three brushes, perfect for a brow kit!

I love how they fit over the mirror, minimizing space!

Nicely stored!

They al fit together, compacted nicely!

What is your go-to brow product?
Do you prefer pencils or shadows?
